Keep in mind, this doesn’t include shipping costs for sending the tapes to the office. You may use any shipping carrier for that.
WHY USE US?
You may be thinking of sending your tapes to a company such as Legacy Box to convert your tapes since they have millions to spend in advertising and have done a good job getting their name out there. However, behind all the fake five star reviews are many one star ones. Many YouTubers have sent their tapes to these companies to see how they come out, and they usually come back with mistakes such as dropped frames, frame warping, missing frames, and sometimes they don’t even digitize the video and send a blank tape! Even worse, they have been known to loose tapes as well! We use proven methods using high end hardware that has been maintained well, including use of a time based corrector (which still go for $2k on eBay!) to ensure no dropped frames or frame warping.

You may look at that and think… woah you use Windows XP? Yes, for capturing analog media, it is often said that the best capture cards ever made for analog media were the ATI All In Wonder capture cards. We use one of these cards ourselves in an old PC and send the video over to our more modern computer for further editing. As you can see, we also use a high end JVC (the company that invented the VHS format) VCR that has an S-video output for higher resolution capturing. We also use a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card (one of the best sound cards for analog media conversion) for the audio.
HOW TO SEND US YOUR MEDIA
We have several options for you to send your media to us.
1. Drop off your tapes at our drop box, and we’ll mail them back to you ($10)
2. Ship your tapes to us, and we’ll mail them back to you ($10 + shipping to the office)
3. Drop off your tapes at our drop box, and we’ll mail them back to you ($10)
4. Drop off your tapes at our drop box, and we will schedule a time for you to pick them up (FREE)

If you are using our dropbox, we have forms and bags to put them in at the box. Save time at the box by filling it out now, download HERE. The drop box is available any day of the week 7am-9pm. We check it regularly, and yes it is locked!
